By Bathgate Youth TheatreThe newly formed Bathgate Youth Theatre present Annie the heart warming musical that is  a family favourite for all ages.  Ten-year-old Annie is in an orphanage, presided over by the bullying Miss Hannigan, but she dreams of finding parents and happiness.  Her attempt to escape fails and she is returned to the orphanage where she is chosen to live with the millionaire Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks for the Christmas holidays.    When Warbucks offers a reward to find Annie’s parents Miss Hannigan, her brother, Rooster and his dim girlfriend Lily scheme to pretend to be the parents and collect the reward.  They are found out and Annie discovers that her parents have died. Warbucks and Annie become a family at last.A magical musical classic.

Al HughesMaking music that is modern, relevant and gathering praise from a growing number of well respected figures on the British music scene, this Scottish singer writes from his own perspective on topics which are very much of today.  Rooted in the Blues and soul tradition he has been compared by more than one reviewer to the legendary, late Rory Gallagher’s acoustic playing and also to both Chris Smither and TownesVan Zandt. Playing a variety of guitars, including a huge sounding, custom built 12 string resonator, Al’s music conjures  up a variety of moods, from forceful and raucous to gentle and wistful.  He has played concerts across the UK and Europe.

Stuart has been performing comedy for 10 years in Scotland and enjoys a residency at The Stand as part of the popular Whose Lunch Is It Anyway? show. Stuart’s performances have included stints with the Bedlam Improverts and the acclaimed Fringe show The Melting Plot, and also lunchtime favourite Free and Easy.

Garry Dobson
Garry has been performing since 1990, with performances in both theatre and improv, including Guardian short-listed plays Making Love and Feel Real with Prominent Theatre as well as The Improverts, End Of The Line, and a regular in Whose Lunch Is It Anyway? and has recently been seen in Glasgow based Disposable Theatre.
