
Bringing the Arts to the heart of Bathgate.
The Regal Community Theatre is aiming to be a busy, well-run arts centre, a hub of community arts activity in Bathgate and West Lothian.
The Regal Community Theatre Bathgate Limited is a charitable company, registered in Scotland. The operations of the company are directed by the Board of Directors. The Board has fifteen members. Office-bearers include the Chairperson, Treasurer, Company Secretary, Minute Secretary, and the Chairs of sub-committees, which deal with programming, finance/fundraising and administration matters. The Board is composed of representatives of local community and arts organisations, with appointees from West Lothian Council and meets once a month.
The Regal Community Theatre provides a venue for a wide variety of community groups to meet, perform, rehearse and pursue a broad spectrum of activities. The scope of activities continues to increase, in order to attract people of all ages to use the facilities.
The mission of the organisation is to foster and encourage participation in, and enjoyment of the arts for all of the community of Bathgate and West Lothian.
- To encourage interest and participation in the arts by organising and promoting a programme of events with broad appeal across the community.
- To encourage participation in the arts through the management and promotion of opportunities to take part in such activities as music, drama, cinema, exhibitions, educational courses and entertainments.·
- To provide a venue at the heart of the community, accessible to all, where people can meet and interact, facilitating communication amongst those interested and involved in the arts, from both local and national arts communities.·
- To provide a facility for the community of Bathgate with accommodation and services available at accessible rates
